Krewe de Valhalla Origins

Valhalla, in Norse mythology, the hall of slain warriors, who live there blissfully under the leadership of the god Odin. Valhalla is depicted as a splendid palace, roofed with shields, where the warriors feast on the flesh of a boar slaughtered daily and made whole again each evening. They drink liquor that flows from the udders of a goat, and their sport is to fight one another every day.  According to Viking legend, Valhalla was not a place of eternal rest, but training for the pre-ordained end of the worlds, when the Sun will darken, the stars vanish, the Earth sinks into the sea, and a great battle will take place between the gods, giants and beasts — Ragnarök.

The Krewe de Valhalla is where modern day warriors go to feast, drink, and train while they await for Odin to call them to the battle. The warriors of the Krewe have served their country with honor and have earned their place along side Odin.

Krewe de Valhalla was formed in 2020 and includes veterans of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. It was formed with a purpose of fellowship, community service, and veteran outreach. Krewe de Valhalla is in remembrance of those warriors who have fallen before us. It is a gathering of comrades to celebrate those who have crossed the gates of Valhalla which we will join in due time.

We are left to continue the fight in their memory.

Together we will support one another and help any veterans in need. We will also continue the mission we signed up for when we enlisted which is helping and giving back to our community. The community is our lifeline and our purpose for serving. Our community is made up of all walks of life, our friends and our families. So moving forward we will be active in the community and continue our service while we await Odin to call us onto the battlefield.

Now the only thing Left to do is Laissez les bons temps rouler!
